Tulsa County District Attorney Stephen Kunzweiler says no charges are going to be filed in the death of Nex Benedict.
Officials with the Tulsa County DA's office say, on February 7th, 16-year-old Nex Benedict, who identified as non-binary, t had gotten into a fight in an Owasso High School bathroom.
The day after the altercation, Benedict's mother reportedly took the teen to a hospital. While recovering at the facility, authorities say, Nex committed suicide by ingesting a mixture of allergy and antidepressant drugs.
